4Life Pty Ltd training courses are nationally accredited courses and comply with standards required of a Registered Training Organisation.

This information provides participants with information on the conduct of training and assessment, participant rights and obligations, management of information and your privacy.

Course Information

Our courses range from Basic Life Support and re-accreditation courses to Occupational First Aid courses and vary in the depth that first aid and medical training is covered. Should you require specific qualifications for a particular vocation please refer to our website or contact our head office.

Your Privacy

4Life Pty Ltd collects personal information, such as your name, address, date of birth and educational details for the purpose of providing first aid and personal medical training and associated services.

We will not disclose your information to others unless expressly approved by your or where we are required to do so by law or to comply with our registration as a Registered Training Organisation.

Where you elect to provide your credit card details these are not recorded within our finance system and are only used for the purposes of the transaction(s) that you approve.

Enrolment Conditions

Access to all 4Life courses is subject to:

  • Availability of classes
  • Sufficient enrolments in the class
  • Course entry requirements being met
  • Course fees being paid in advance

Course fees may change, dates and times are subject to change. Where change occurs we will take reasonable steps to advise you of such. Further information on enrolment and course fees is available on our website.

Assessment

4 Life qualified staff will deliver courses to meet Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) standards required by approved Registered Training Organisations.

Successful participants will receive a Statement of Attainment. Assessed tasks may include in-class activities, pre-class workbooks, group work, practical demonstrations, oral and/or written theory tests. Participants have the right to appeal against assessment decisions. Any appeal related to assessment must be lodged within five (5) days of assessment notification and may attract an appeal fee. Should the appeal succeed, the appeal fee will be refunded.

Health and Safety

4Life has a responsibility to provide a safe and healthy environment for employees, customers and visitors. You also have certain responsibilities and these include:

  • undertaking activities in a safe manner
  • following instructions provided for safety
  • not putting yourself or others at risk
  • reporting an injury/illness or incident to an appropriate person.

Access and Equity

4Life will ensure that people have equitable access to involvement in first aid and personal medical training and assessment. This is achieved through the establishment of non-discriminatory selection procedures, allowing access for all members of the community. Students with a language or literacy difficulty should inform 4Life so that appropriate assistance can be provided. Students with any other difficulty during the course should in the first instance seek assistance from the trainer conducting the course. Failing satisfactory resolution of the problem, the Education Director should be contacted.

Disability, Literacy & Numeracy

Equal opportunity is given to all prospective participants with particular attention to the rights of disadvantaged groups, people with a non-English speaking background, Aborigines and Torres Strait Islanders and people with a disability. Participants with a disability or requiring literacy and numeracy support may seek assistance to succeed in course learning outcomes. Oral theory assessments may be an alternative for persons with language or literacy difficulties. Contact the Education Manager or Education Director for advice and help to organise possible support services/equipment if needed.

Refund Policy

A refund of fees paid will be provided if:

  • We cancel a course and you cannot shift to an alternative date
  • A participant/client gives notice that they will not be attending a course 48 hours before the commencement of the course
  • No refund will be given after the course has commenced.

Mutual Recognition and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

4Life recognises AQF qualifications and Statement of Attainments issued by other Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in Australia .

In some cases we may require you to demonstrate appropriate practical skills and knowledge to fulfil the competency requirements of the equivalent qualification sought. A qualified assessor may be required to conduct this assessment in accordance with Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) requirements.

Recognised Prior Learning

If you have life or work experience or formal study which cannot be recognised by mutual recognition, you can apply for recognised prior learning (RPL). This process recognises the skills and knowledge you have and can currently demonstrate.

Feedback and Complaints

4Life is committed to continuous improvement and your feedback is important to us. Participant feedback forms provide an opportunity for 4Life to improve it services and are provided to each participant.

Complaints or Grievances

Should you have a complaint or grievance you should follow the following procedure:

  • Discuss the grievance with the trainer of the course
  • If the resolution is unsatisfactory or requires further action, please send the grievance in writing to the Education Manager

All grievances/complaints are attended to on a timely basis and notification of the outcome will be sent in writing to the participant within 10 working days. You can refer the matter to an external agency such as the Quality Branch at the Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology or the Training Advocate.
